Our Tradition Our Memories - Lithography Print

A lithography print artwork to explore the ICH of the Lion Dance performance by depicting the celebration of the Lion Dance performance and rethinking the idea of collective memory. The illustrations interpret the knowledge of ICH and to raise public awareness about the preservation of these valuable cultural assets.
In addition, this artwork inspired me to further rethink and reflect on the relationship between the process of lithography and its connection to intangible collective memory. As every line and dot drawn directly on the surface of the stone becomes part of the stone's traces. The traces are therefore recorded, fixed, faded and recalled, much like our memories.
