Wincy Kung

Illustrator | Artist | Spatial Graphic Designer | Facilitator

Wincy Kung is an illustrator, artist and designer from Hong Kong, working in London, Hong Kong and collaborating internationally. Her practice explores cultural heritage, architecture, and community through visual storytelling.

 

With a background in both spatial and illustration design, she creates research-led projects that bridge traditional craft, contemporary narratives, and participatory making.

 

She holds an MA in Illustration (Distinction) from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and a BA in Environment and Interior Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her work has been exhibited in London, Hong Kong, New York, Beijing, Germany, and Greece, including a self-curated solo show and multiple group exhibitions in London. She has participated in residencies in both London and Hong Kong.

 

Wincy was named Asia Winner of the Art for Change Prize 2024 and has received awards from the Society of Illustrators (Gold Medal, 65th Annual), World Illustration Awards, International Design Awards, Architecture MasterPrize (New Discovery of the Year), A’ Design Award, and The Architectural Drawing Prize, among others. She was shortlisted for the UAL Mead Fellowship Grant in 2024. Her work has been featured in DesignBoom, Art Plugged, and MutualArt.

 

She has also led co-creation workshops and given talks in university and public settings, engaging audiences in cultural exchange through storytelling, making, and illustration.
