Reimagining the Chinese Seal : Wandering in Landscape

nspired by the seal-carving culture of the Ming and Qing literati, Wandering in Landscape explores the seal as a medium of self-cultivation and personal expression. Drawing on the literary imagery of 'Autumn Evening in the Mountains' and 'The Peach Blossom Spring', the composition uses the concept of 'borrowed scenery' found in Chinese garden design and landscape painting. Through circular windows framing mountains, flowers, trees, and unfolding scrolls, it constructs a poetic realm between reality and imagination. Scholars carve seals, paint, and observe nature, seeking a sense of stillness through artistic practice.

印遊山水

作品以明清文人的篆刻文化為靈感，探索印章演變為文人寄託情思、修身養性的藝術媒介。畫面借鑑《山居秋暝》與《桃花源記》的文學意象，運用傳統山水畫和空間設計「借景」的觀念，透過圓窗、山水、花木與長卷，營造一處介乎現實與想像之間的詩意空間。文人於燭光下刻印、題畫、觀景，以印寄情，在方寸之石與尺幅丹青之間尋覓內心的寧靜。作品藉篆刻、書畫與園林意境的交融，呈現文人寄情山水、神遊物外的精神追求。
